Get ready to travel back in time and uncover all the secrets and hidden corners of Porto, Portugal’s second-largest city and one of the most charismatic in Europe. Carefully preserving its architectural treasures, Porto is the birthplace of Port Wine and is renowned for its medieval streets, lively squares that host gatherings, festivals, and unforgettable memories, iconic monuments, and a captivating atmosphere. Its historic center was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.
During our tour, we will explore Porto’s most important landmarks, including the Porto Cathedral (Sé do Porto), Clérigos Tower, Lello Bookshop, São Bento Railway Station, Infante Square, and the Ribeira Square.
We then cross the Dom Luís Bridge to visit one of the most famous wine cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia, home of the world-famous fortified Port Wine. During our visit, we journey back in time to learn about the history of this iconic wine and the Douro region.
